Our terms, in plain English.
What you get, what you pay, and how to leave if it's not working.

1. About these terms
These terms apply when you sign up for a Warp Studios plan ("we", "us"). Together with the plan on our pricing page, or a quote we've sent you, they're our agreement with you. Where a quote says something different, the quote wins.
2. Price and payment
There's nothing to pay up front. Your monthly price starts when your site goes live and is paid monthly in advance, by card or Direct Debit. Work outside your plan, such as new pages or features, is quoted first and only goes ahead once you've agreed it. If a payment is more than 14 days late, we can pause your plan after telling you.
3. No minimum term
Your plan runs month to month. You can cancel, or move to a smaller plan, by giving us a month's notice by email. You can move to a bigger plan at any time. We can also end your plan with a month's notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms, for example by not paying after we've reminded you.
4. Changes and turnaround
A small change is an update to a page you already have: text, photos, prices or hours. What's included and how quickly is set out in your plan. Working days are Monday to Friday, not bank holidays. New sections, pages or features are quoted first.
5. What we need from you
Manager access to your Google Business Profile where your plan includes it, the information and photos we ask for, and a reply when we check something with you. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us. You're responsible for your business itself, including what you sell and, for a shop, your returns and delivery terms with your customers.
6. Who owns what
Your domain is registered in your name. You own your words, photos, logo and data, and you let us use them to run your plan. We own the design, code and platform behind your site, and you can use them while your plan is active. We may show your site in our work unless you ask us not to.
7. When you leave
Once your account is settled, we hand over your domain, your Google profile, the words we wrote for you, the photos you gave us and, for a shop, your products, customers and orders. The site itself comes down at the end of your notice, unless you've bought it outright. Shops run on our own platform and can't be bought outright.
8. Your customers' data
When your site or shop collects details from your customers, you're the controller and we're your processor. We will:
- only use the data to run your site or shop, as you instruct;
- keep it confidential and secure;
- only use providers who protect it to the same standard (hosting, email and, for shops, Stripe and our database host), and tell you before we change them;
- help you respond to your customers' data requests and meet your own obligations;
- tell you without undue delay if we find a breach;
- return or delete the data when you leave, and give you what you need to show it's been handled properly.
9. Keeping things running
If something we built stops working, we fix it at no extra cost. We're not responsible for outages or changes at services we don't control, such as Google, Stripe or your email provider, or for changes you make yourself. We don't guarantee search rankings, reviews or sales.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for indirect losses.
11. If you're buying as a consumer
Our plans are for businesses. If you're buying mainly for personal rather than business use, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of signing up. If you've asked us to start work in that time, you pay for what we've done up to when you cancel. None of this affects your other legal rights.
12. Changes to these terms
We'll give you a month's notice by email of any change to these terms or your price, so you can leave before it applies if you'd rather.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
